Entourage returns July 12 with a slew of hot celebrity cameos, including Zac Efron, Tom Brady, Jay Leno and a top-secret A-lister (Could this be Matt Damon, whom
Jeremy Piven says has shot a cameo?) in the season finale who pressures the boys to contribute to his charity. Show creator Doug Ellin, who tried unsuccessfully to woo L.A. Lakers’ Kobe Bryant for the cameo, was inspired to spoof Hollywood do-gooders after he was honored by Chrysalis (an organization that helps L.A.’s homeless land jobs) at its annual Butterfly Ball. Here’s what else is in store for Season 6:
Adrian Grenier Vince’s stalled career is back in high gear after he lands a role as a famed race-car driver. The cast was sent to racing school, where Kevin Connolly (Eric) says, “We got those Ferraris going pretty fast.” Adrian boasts, “I left all those guys in the dust.”
Kevin Dillon The actor says Johnny Drama will “explode worse than ever before” as he competes for a girl with a network exec played by
Eli Stone’s Matt Letscher. He also tries to persuade a producer of the new
Melrose Place (
Prison Break’s William Fichtner) to give him a role; there might be some crossover casting.
Tom Brady Turns out the New England Patriots MVP knows Turtle’s girlfriend, Jamie-Lynn Sigler. There will be some tension between the men during a celebrity golf tournament as they tee off with Mark Wahlberg.
Rex Lee Contrary to the rumors, Lloyd will not be getting a promotion. But Ari’s assistant will be getting something even better. “Lloyd is a huge fan of Zac Efron,” Rex says. “Lloyd gets to be marginally involved in a phone conversation with Zac, which excites him a great deal.”
Debi Mazar Shauna might get killed off in a spoof of a high-profile celebrity murder—something Debi suggested herself! “I’m thinking about it,” Ellin says. Debi adds, “They don’t use my character a whole lot, so if I could just have a great murder scene, it would give me something more to do than just tell the boys to go f--- themselves.” Ellin says he’s seriously considering it. “She has to be murdered,” he says. “The end of the show might be Ari murdering Shauna.”
