Ask Keck
March 16, 2009 12:00 AM EST

I would like to know why they are allowing the romance between Calleigh and Eric on CSI: Miami? Back several seasons ago they had the rule that two CSI's could not date each other and that rule broke up Calleigh and Jake. Are they not remembering that they covered this several seasons ago? What's going on? -- Stephanie Walker

Keck: Good catch, Steph. Calleigh and Eric know full well that they aren't allowed to date and thus, they are being very careful not to let on to anyone within the walls of the CSI lab. However, Wolfe has guessed that something is going on and he and Natalia have talked about it. Stay tuned.

When will the latest season of Dexter be out on DVD? Also why did network TV spoil us with showing this great show for one season before it went back to Showtime? I won't subscribe to Showtime for just one show. -- A. Groff, Rome, NY

Keck: Well, Jeff, you're perfectly willing to keep waiting for the DVDs if you choose. Dexter's latest will be out sometime in August when it gets closer to the new season's fall premiere. Dexter got a bonus run on CBS during the writers' strike, but it has always been and will continue to be a Showtime show.

With all the returns to ER, will we see Ming-Na back as Dr. Jing-Mei Chen? – Phil J.

Keck: “Unfortunately no,” says Ming-Na, who had been in early talks last year. “I’m very sad about it, but have to respect that it’s hard to come up with a storyline when they’re trying to write back so many old players. I would have been happy to just show up in the background.” Jing-Mei was last seen heading off to China and the actress came up with what could have been a fun update: “In my mind, Dr. Chen got reacquainted with her culture and would have returned to open an eastern medicine acupuncture practice in Chicago.” Don’t feel sorry for Ming-Na, though. She has landed a position aboard SciFi Channel’s new Stargate Universe series.

Is there any mystery left to be revealed with the Dave Williams character on Desperate Housewives? – Monica, Florida

Keck: If you think you’ve figured out the whole Desperate Housewives-Dave Williams mystery, think again. Series creator Marc Cherry still has a card or two to play. “Something will happen in the episode before the last one,” offers Cherry. Apparently, there’s a secret involving Mike and Susan and the night of the car accident that killed Dave’s wife, Lila, and their daughter Paige (who was born the same day as Mike and Susan’s son, MJ.)

Teri Hatcher (Susan) says certain details of that night, including who was driving the car, remain “top secret.” James Denton (Mike) believes, “It’s a fun twist that makes sense that nobody knows about yet. It’s actually quite nice.” My guess? It was Susan – not Mike driving the car, which means Dave needs to rethink his revenge plans. Might this have devastating consequences for Susan’s returning love interest, Jackson (Gale Harold)?
