What is Band From TV?Years ago, when I was on
Felicity, I was invited to play [drums] for charity at the House of Blues. It so much attention, I thought, “If I put together a group of actors, we could really raise money!” We’ve raised $2 million and 100 percent of the proceeds go to charity.
You’re offering fans a special deal on your debut album Hogging All the Covers today. Can you tell us what’s happening? For one day only, you can
download the entire EP for $1.99. It’s $14 but Amazon liked what we were doing so much they put into thing they call the Daily Deal. They’re going to give our charities $4.99 for every album that’s sold so we’re getting the word out as much as we possibly can.
What charities will receive the money?Save the Children, epilepsy, autism, all these great charities.
What music can fans expect to hear? They’re feel good songs. It’s familiar faces playing familiar music. I sing “Shake a Tail Feather” which is an old Ray Charles song. Hugh sings “Round in Circles.” James sings “Mustang Sally.” It’s classic songs that everybody knows. That’s why it’s called
Hogging All the Covers.
Why is this a must-have purchase for any TV fan?Actors have never gotten together like this for charity. So you’re spending pennies on a collector’s item. We don’t take the music too seriously but we rock the house. I think people are going to freak when they hear it.
