Andy Richter will be back on TV with Conan O'Brien for his new
Tonight Show gig, premiering June 1, this time, as the show's announcer. TV Guide Magazine caught up with Richter at March 18th's "Inside
The Office" panel with some burning questions.
"I don't really know what the format's going to be, where I'm going to be, in terms of the stage," Richter said. "The show is not going to be so absurd (as
Late Night) because people aren't as high at 11:30 as they are at 12:30. And the viewers expect a level of tameness and lack of weirdness."
As for what details and O'Brien have nailed down so far, Richter shrugged, "We kind of have some vague ideas about how big the couch is going to be, but that's about it."
