No longer the sullen teen of
Once & Again or gothed-out girlfriend of Marilyn Manson, Evan Rachel Wood is all grown up—and glammed up—as
True Blood’s vampire queen, Sophie-Anne Leclerq. That so doesn’t bite.
We hear Sophie-Anne is gonna get down with someone in Bon Temps.[Laughs] No! I don’t know how that got out, and I don’t want people tuning in and being disappointed. It’s not a sex scene; it’s just a steamy scene. There’s a little something going on with somebody you don’t expect.
How old is she?I’ve heard somewhere between 500 and 1,000 years old. And she’s spoiled—she’s a queen—so she’s decked out in the best clothes and the best jewelry. She’s incredibly smart and witty, but she is definitely deadly.
Is she heroic? You don’t know if she’s good or bad. I think she’s a little bit of both.
Does she have any weaknesses?None that I know of, but you know, everybody does. I was gonna say she’s only human, but she’s not! [Laughs]
Now who would you rather bite, Eric or Bill?I’m gonna say Eric.
This is a big change for you. It’s gonna be another side of me that people have never quite seen. I think it’s the role I was born to play.
