This year for Turkey Day, the
How I Met Your Mother gang is headed to over the river and through the woods to Lily’s grandparents house. That's where we will meet Grandma Rita and Grandpa Morris, who are at odds with Lily’s estranged gambling-addicted dad, Mickey (Chris Elliott). We will learn that Mickey’s antics have resulted in grandma breaking her hip and losing her retirement money. What a bad son! No pumpkin pie for him!
In the Nov. 23 episode, we will also flashback to meet little 11-year-old Lily, who is persuaded by pop to tell the IRS that her father has died. Other scenes will take us back to Lily’s wedding when a bridesmaid insulted her dress, and reveal that her college roommate, Sandy, made out with her dad.
What do all these stories have in common? They all relate to people Lily declared dead to her!
