He may be in the clink, but don’t count convicted bus hijacker John Buckley (Fisher Stevens) out of the game on
Numb3rs.
When we first met the con artist in the triple twisty “Jacked” (January 16), he had taken a busload of passengers hostage in a failed attempt at blackmail. In tonight's episode, FBI agent Don Eppes (Rob Morrow) turns to the imprisoned Buckley for advice when a gang of thieves holding hostages at a diamond exchange seem to be copying Buckley’s tactics. But the advisor soon needs the agents’ help when he’s kidnapped by the robbers.
“Fisher Stevens is such a great actor and a real joy to work with,” says executive producer Don McGill, who wrote both Stevens' episodes. “We’re thrilled he could come back to reprise the role. Adding to the fun,” McGill says, “Rob Morrow and Fisher are best buddies in real life, so having them go at each other in a cat and mouse game of cop versus con makes for great chemistry on screen and off."
