SWEEPS PREVIEW & POLL: Enter to Win $1,000!
By William Keck  November 05, 2009 04:22 PM EST

It never snows in Fairview, but there’ll be plenty of chills on Desperate Housewives (Sundays, 9/8c, ABC) when a female neighbor becomes the block’s second strangulation victim. “The neighbors will be left wondering if there’s a serial killer on Wisteria Lane,” says executive producer Bob Daily. With Katherine (Dana Delany) reaching a point of “high craziness,” viewers may wonder if she’s the strangler. Or could it be someone from the secretive—and suspicious—Bolen family? This mass paranoia will lead the Housewives to enroll in a self-defense class, where, Daily says, “one of the feuds between the women comes to a head.” And don’t be so quick to assume he’s talking about Susan (Teri Hatcher) and Katherine, as other rivalries will intensify during November. Susan will resent Bree when her affair with Karl is exposed, while Gaby and Carlos hold a grudge against Lynette for concealing her pregnancy.

By the end of the year, Bree (Marcia Cross) will be forced to finally choose between Orson (Kyle MacLachlan) and Karl (Richard Burgi). But, Daily teases, “There will be a huge surprise twist involving both men.” In the midst of all these family feuds, Romeo and Juliet–style romances will spark between Ana (Maiara Walsh) and Porter (Charlie Carver), and possibly Julie (Andrea Bowen) and Danny (Beau Mirchoff). As for Susan’s other child, expect little M.J. (Mason Vale Cotton) to once again be used as a pawn in Katherine’s attempts to win back Mike (James Denton). Talk about desperate!
