SWEEPS PREVIEW & POLL: Enter to Win $1,000!
By Brantley Bardin  October 29, 2009 11:24 AM EST

So you think things have been intense on Private Practice with Addison (Kate Walsh) miserably single again and Violet (Amy Brenneman) just barely surviving having had her baby—whose father, it turns out, is Pete (Tim Daly), not Sheldon (Brian Benben)—hacked out of her womb? Well, just wait. According to exec producer Betsy Beers, things are about to go extreme for sweeps. “We’re finally going to meet Addison’s very Waspy dad [Stephen Collins],” says Beers, “and some old family skeletons are going to come out of the closet in a big way.”

Addison will also be confronted “with a medical situation unlike anything we’ve ever shown. She’ll be collaborating with Sam [Taye Diggs] on that one. They will lean on each other.” But it’s Pacific Well Care, not Oceanside Wellness, where some action really goes down. “A new doctor is helping out,” says Beers, “and there may be sparks between Naomi and him. Everyone will get a little lovin’!”

Private Practice airs Thursdays, 10/9c, ABC
