Tim Daly is Superman (Again)

Warner Home Video has announced a September 29 release date for the animated DVD-movie Superman/Batman: Public Enemies. The movie, based on the popular DC Comics story written by former Heroes producer Jeph Loeb and illustrated by Ed McGuinness, will be available in both DVD and Blu-Ray formats and among the extra features is a digital copy download.

Private Practice’s Tim Daly returns to the role of the Man of Steel, which he voiced on Superman: The Animated Series in the late ’90s. And fan favorite Kevin Conroy is back as the Dark Knight, a voice he mastered on Batman: The Animated Series, Batman Beyond and Justice League. Also in the cast is another vet of these Warner Bros. cartoons, Clancy Brown as Lex Luthor. Brown is perhaps best known as Desmond’s fellow hatch-dweller, Kelvin, on Lost.

Public Enemies is the sixth in Warner Bros. Animation’s series of DC Comics adaptations. The fifth, Green Lantern: First Flight, starring Law & Order: SVU’s Christopher Meloni and Battlestar Galactica’s Tricia Helfer, goes on sale July 28. More info on that movie can be found here.
